Cancer Cervical Colposcopy
When ruling out cancer, cervical colposcopy allows expansion of abnormal cytology for cervical dysplasia caused by HPV.
This exam involves the doctor inspecting the cervix using a colposcope for abnormal areas and then taking cells samples of those areas. The cell samples are then further examined in a lab for the level of squamous cells present and if any cancerous cells exist.
When ruling out cancer, cervical colposcopy allows expansion of abnormal cytology for cervical dysplasia caused by HPV.
