Colposcopy Result
Surgical procedures accompanied by colposcopy result in potential infertility while removing a genital wart.
After these operations light bleeding and pain are possible. A very deep biopsy may weaken the cervix. Examination without biopsy doesn't have any side effects, though some pain, bleeding, and dark discharge are possible for a couple of days. It is recommended not to use tampons and have sex for a week.

The procedure is performed to confirm the negative Pap test and identify where the abnormal tissues are. In some cases the treatment is performed at the same time with examination.
