Cone Biopsy Recovery
The rate of cone biopsy recovery depends on the severity of vaginal discharge and HPV that is present.
For several months use sanitary pads, not tampons. Possible complications are: incomplete removal of abnormal tissue, heavy bleeding, infection, scarring, and weakening of the cervix. It is important to repeat the examination in about 6 weeks to be sure the tisue is healing.

After this procedure it is possible to go home on the same day, depending on how large the operation was. There may be some bleeding, discharge, and cramping for several days after the surgery.
