Cervical Cryotherapy
The treatment with cervical cryotherapy is used to prevent cervical cancer, which is often caused by HPV.
Another name for this is cryosurgery. If the dysplasia is at a mild level, then most of the time it is treated through a procedure that freezes the abnormal cells. When abnormal cells are found on the cervix from HPV, the condition is called dysplasia.
