Leep Pad
When there is discharge after a leep, pad to absorb the flow is sometimes necessary, discharge may also be present with cervical cancer treated with cryotherapy surgery.
During the operation, a speculum is placed into the vagina of a patient. A doctor applies a local anaesthetic into the cervix. The cervix becomes numb and allows the procedure to cause minimal discomfort. An electrical current that passes through a thin wire loop is used to “scoop out” the abnormal tissue.

Cervical Cancer, Cryotherapy
This is a loop electrosurgical excision procedure. This procedure is usually advised for diagnosis or treatment for dysplasia on the cervix. The operation is considered quite simple, fast and safe. Complications are rare. The whole procedure takes 20 minutes on the average. When there is discharge after a leep, pad to absorb the flow is sometimes necessary, discharge may also be present with cervical cancer treated with cryotherapy surgery.
